Ibrahim Khalil Mamun is a multidisciplinary design leader with 15+ years of experience across UI/UX design, product design, branding, and growth creative and one of the very few instructors in this country who has actually built and led design teams at the scale of Alibaba Group. Having led a 20+ member design team at Daraz and currently serving as Head of Design at Cartup (a concern of US-Bangla Airlines), he has spent his career doing exactly what this course prepares learners for: turning user problems into shipped, business-driving digital products. What makes him a rare mentor is that he has sat on both sides of the table as the designer solving the problem, and as the hiring manager deciding which portfolio gets the job.

Professional Experience

Head of Design at Cartup (A Concern of US-Bangla Airlines)

At Cartup, Mamun leads the entire creative and design department, covering UX research, UI design, branding, digital campaigns, and visual communication. He owns design operations end to end — building the process, mentoring the creative team, maintaining brand consistency across web and iOS products, and making sure every design decision ties back to business and marketing goals. This is modern product design at full velocity: fast shipping cycles, real users, and measurable outcomes the exact environment learners will be trained to survive and thrive in.

Lead UI/UX Designer at Friends Corp. (Remote)
Mamun currently leads UI/UX design at Friends Corp. in a fully remote setup owning the end-to-end design process from user research and information architecture through wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and design system delivery, while collaborating with a distributed product and engineering team across time zones.

Former Head of Design at Daraz (A Concern of Alibaba Group)

Seven years at Bangladesh's largest e-commerce platform, leading a 20+ designer team across product design, marketing design, campaign design, and brand communication. His responsibilities went far beyond the canvas: hiring and growing designers, running stakeholder meetings to extract real requirements, building strategic design roadmaps with hard deadlines, pitching creative vision to leadership, and conducting market research to make designs measurably more effective.

Two flagship outcomes from this period:

Daraz Design System architected and built a full design system and UI component structure, so that a large distributed team could ship consistent experiences at scale. Design systems are a core module of this career track, and Mamun teaches them from the position of someone who has maintained one under real production pressure.
Daraz Brand Guideline Development defined and documented the brand language used across product, campaign, and marketing surfaces.

Former Product Designer at HungryNaki (Acquired by Daraz Bangladesh)

When Daraz acquired the food-delivery startup HungryNaki in 2021, Mamun was assigned to develop the marketing brand guideline for the newly integrated product — a real-world lesson in how design survives acquisitions, brand migrations, and shifting business strategy.

Former Product Design Manager at Olab (Ed-Tech Platform)
Mamun partnered with Olab, an ed-tech platform, to design and launch their website from the ground up. Working directly in UX and UI, he focused on making a genuinely user-friendly and engaging learning experience — a project our learners will find especially relatable, since it maps closely to the kind of product they'll be designing in their own portfolio work.

Former Brand/UI Designer (Consultant) at Swap

As a brand and UI design consultant, Mamun oversaw the design team and led the complete re-branding of the Swap marketplace and mobile app, aligning brand marketing with the UX/UI team's product direction. He also produced the Swap Figma UI Kit and Design System a working example of the deliverable standard learners are expected to reach by the end of this program.

Former Sr. UI/UX Designer at RITL (Rupam IT Limited)

Designed the complete UI and UX for a large-scale Hospital Management Software for BAPSA, along with the full branding and print system. During this period he also built DAAK, a mobile application designed to help prevent sexual harassment, developed for the ICT Division a project selected by the ICT Ministry. Complex, high-stakes, information-dense interfaces are where design skill is truly tested, and this is the depth he brings into the classroom.

The AI Driven UI/UX Design Career Track isn't about learning a tool it's about becoming the kind of designer companies actually hire in an AI-accelerated industry. Mamun teaches from that exact vantage point. He knows what a hiring manager looks for in a portfolio because he has hired and grown a 20+ person design team. He knows how AI can compress research, ideation, and iteration cycles and, more importantly, where human judgment, user empathy, and design taste still decide whether a product wins or dies.
